Guide
No-exam life insurance
Which applicants qualify for quick underwriting, how the process works, and what happens if you're not eligible.
Many carriers now offer fast underwriting: for applicants in certain age bands and coverage amounts, decisions rely on your application, prescription records, vehicle history and other reports rather than an exam. Some applicants receive approval within a single day. Your quote page notes whether an exam is required, may be required, or isn't expected.
What it changes
Skipping the exam does not skip underwriting review. Your responses get verified, and policies issued based on false information can be challenged in the first two years. If your profile raises concerns, the carrier can still request testing; you remain in control of whether to proceed.
Who tends to qualify
Usually people under approximately 60, applying for amounts within carrier limits, without serious prior health issues and with no tobacco use in the previous twelve months or more. Some carriers will use recent lab work from a doctor visit rather than requiring a new exam.
When an exam is necessary, plan for a 20- to 30-minute session with a paramedical specialist at your residence or workplace in the Reedley area, conducted at no charge. Strong health results can boost your rate tier, making the exam potentially beneficial rather than problematic.
